Why Forests?
It is estimated that wide spread global deforestation is responsible for about 20% of the impact on global climate change. Deforestation also effects local animal habitats, sensitive flora and fauna, and local and indigenous peoples. As a practical matter, with global population growth, we simply must find productive and efficient ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and mass deforestation around the world.
CarbonCo is working with leading experts and stakeholders to identify cost-effective projects and programs that will solve both these problems while providing a model for others to implement.
